Sherclod Holmes @wallhackio@cat.family

what I am learning today is that I have not played any fucking videogames at all

@Lucy Battlefield 1 is the kind of game that takes 200 hours to get the hang of so play at your own risk lol

rayman 2 is an easy recommendation, very accessible controls for a 3D platformer from that era and the art style and atmosphere still stand the test of time. I grew up with the PS1 version but the Dreamcast version is the best way to play it. I cannot recommend the N64 version as the MIDI soundtrack does the game a disservice

@gaditb okay I finally started reading it

@vaporeon_ @The_T it's a good one. It happens to be the first link game I ever played

@AsterMeadows yeehaw

@lapis I've never heard of that

@coriander @cam yeeeeeeeee

@cam i am actually referencing a meme i saw years ago

@coriander fuck yeah

@vaporeon_ I like that its face makes it look full of resentment and annoyance

@aschmitz which two?

If the prompt is "a the 9 games that shaped me into who I am" then this isn't exactly a list of my favorite games as it is the games that impacted me the most (although this list does have a lot of my favorite games)

Like everyone who does this there are a ton of games I left out. I could make a case for Mario Kart Wii, Baldur's Gate 3, Balatro, Subnautica, Super Mario World, and Neon White and I am sure there are plenty more

@SportsGoblin I was hesitant to have too high expectations for them because all I could think of was last year when the Packers were supposed to be superb owl contenders after getting Micah Parsons
