honestly fortnite with builds is genuinely its own category by itself

@The_T @amy i played modern shooters for the first time as an adult and even though i have played lots of videogames my whole life it was a MASSIVE learning curve.

really really fun, and i eventually became a very fine battlefield 1 player, but i had 0 intuition for it

@The_T @amy battlefield 1 in particular kicks ass but none of the other battlefields hit for me

there are some good cods but its probably best not to mess with them because of the way that they are

@amy ah yeah overwatch/tf2 and battlefield/cod are two opposite sides of a spectrum in my opinion

titanfall is definitely on the battlefield/cod side

(it's actually not a spectrum its a triangle with a corner for counterstrike/valorant but whatever)

@amy personally, i believe that if you feel unready it would be more valuable to play multiplayer matches against bots than to run the gauntlet

just getting used to the unpredictable chaos of combat is the thing id expect to be the hardest to get used to
