@vaporeon_ @ashly i learned once i started writing code professionally that obsessing too much on code quality is paralyzing. its important to write something that works and make sure not to waste too much time making it quality

its like being an artist. if artists didnt release anything until it was "perfect" we wouldn't see anything at all. at some point getting it out there is more important that making it perfect

I thought it might be fun to do a kin onion, not for characters, but for whole works of art

I tried to pick things that were formative and not necessarily my favorite. It was very painful not to put Outer Wilds, Tar, and Charli XCX on here but I felt that skewing to art I experienced while younger was important

@Lucy oops i forgot the lore of the movie it isn't actually about a robot built for violence. i have reported myself for lying

it was pretty good (iron giant is better tho)

@vaporeon_ ethical hacking
sharing educational resources, or just spreading knowledge in general
and making friends and building connections with others online is good

re: unserious

@vaporeon_ but they are old and only owned by enthusiasts which makes them more valuable. But perhaps that it is still too many points

re: unserious

@vaporeon_ normally 1. Unless you built it, which is 10. Or if it's at over a decade old, in which it's worth 5 points, 10 if it's at least 20 years old

re: unserious

@vaporeon_ a server rack is 100 points

Floppy disks are worth 10

Evil rectangles are worth 0.1

re: unserious

@vaporeon_ I can't possibly compete with vaporeon for the device hoarding championship

@vaporeon_ someone else in the forum I shared a screenshot from mentioned they had code specifically for locating elements relative to <a> tags but the link is broken and the wayback machine couldn't retrieve it

So what you're trying to do should be possible

@lapis have to go to the bank to set up a bank account with a local credit union

@vaporeon_ the vappy is using JavaScript, I never thought I'd see the day
