@vaporeon_ they were a joke in their time but apparently they've been getting a positive reappraisal. they were so unpopular ive never even seen one before lol

@wallhackio Who is giving them a positive reappraisal? Are they saying that wireless stuff and "shopping" on an MP3 player are good thigns?

@vaporeon_ i mean, the ipod had already become a cultural phenomenon at the time so most people didn't see it as a bad thing

@wallhackio Can the iPod do those things? Never had an iPod

@wallhackio Excluding that "iPod Touch" or whatever they call it that's just an evil rectangle but without actual phone functionality and therefore extremely pointless

@vaporeon_ now Im thinking about the old mp3 player my parents bought me in high school. This would have probably been 2009/2010

it was this cheap plastic little thing. could barely hold 100 songs on it. it had an lcd screen that could only display black and white. this is the closest thing I could find that looked like it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Afb-foPTLiA
