@amy really depends on the preparation method
if you have a keurig then you can make a cup in 30 seconds
if you have an ordinary instant coffee maker then it takes only a minute or two at most and you don't have to babysit the machine after putting in the coffee grounds and water
if you're using a pour over then it will take a couple minutes and you'll have to babysit it
if you're using a french press then you won't need to babysit it but it will take a few minutes
@wallhackio @amy instant coffee maker?? instant coffee is dehydrated crystals you add hot water to
@aescling @wallhackio Fight fight fight fight
@amy @wallhackio there is No fight here. there is only, Evisceration. for, you See, i have Eviscerated, him. with Facts, and Logic.
@aescling @wallhackio @amy I am also confused by that concept. I guess there are probably some commercial machines for that?
Also, a common case here is that some people will use a drip coffee maker and produce a pot of coffee in the morning with the intent to drink it over the day, so offering a cup may take zero time in coffee production. (Often people will just skip another cup for themselves, but they could also brew more in advance of actually wanting it.)
@wallhackio @amy I guess for additional context. Instant coffee is basically gonna be the same as when I make tea.
I guess neither Holly nor Amy is around when I make tea in the morning.
