having watched @wallhackio get better at Fire Emblem for a bit i am increasingly convinced that “being good at Fire Emblem” is like 5% confidence, 10% knowing how to read the menus, 5% knowing the actual game mechanics, and 80% just being good at positioning

good Fire Emblem play is mostly knowing exactly how many hits your units can take and ensuring they take no more than that many

@hoja once i started manually subtracting my protection/resilience from enemies' attack i grew my third eye

@wallhackio just wait until you learn that defeating enemies on the enemy phase is just as valid as defeating them on the player phase
