@wallhackio did you just find out about this or has she broken another one?
@Satsuma no i asked her what we'll need to do to fix it and it will be a Pain In The Ass
@wallhackio yeah electronics dont like having rice poured into their delicate bits
@Satsuma its possible it will be cheaper to simply buy a new one
@Satsuma even if its not the nearest repair center is in fucking New York
@wallhackio unfortunate
@Satsuma i'll make the trip there next week if the repair fee + gas is not egregious
@wallhackio arent gas prices always egregious
@Satsuma would you consider 36 dollars egregious
@Satsuma yeah the repair station is a leisurely 48 minute walk from penn station lol
@wallhackio the NYC subways are fairly accessible bc they get lots of tourists, i think you can even use tap to pay these days instead of having to buy a faire card
@Satsuma the round trip to and from penn station using public transportation is about six bucks
@Satsuma it would require some walking but it would be worth it I think
@wallhackio i mean double check that you can get reasonable prices both directions and also at times that make sense, sometimes amtrak prices to nyc do get $$$ but
@wallhackio generally a day trip if you are willing to have at least one direction be at an awkward time is usually p affordable from here, i did it a lot when i was younger
@Satsuma the only cheap way is leaving at 5:45 on wednesday morning and then departing at 10pm that same day. Its $35 total
@wallhackio i mean you will probably have to pay a couple more bucks in public transit to actually get to your destination but parking in NYC is like forty bucks so
