@vaporeon_ @wallhackio i feel like this trick stopped working for me in my early twenties

@wallhackio @vaporeon_ 1) pick a consistent bed time and try to be ready and in bed with the lights off* by then every night even if i’m not sleepy yet

2) avoid bright light (esp blue light, if your phone has a nightshift mode use that) and stimulating activities in the hours leading up to that time

3) start setting a “you have to get up at this time at the latest alarm” at progressively earlier times until i’m not spending a reasonable number of hours in bed

@Satsuma @wallhackio If I could do that sort of thing, my schedule wouldn't be broken in the first place :blobcatoh:

@wallhackio @vaporeon_ as someone who’s sleep schedule was incredibly fucked for over a decade these *are* learnable skills i promise

and also like, phones these days usually let you just set night shift to go on automatically at a certain time, i also have do not disturb scheduled to turn on about a half hour before i start getting ready for bed, i take my meds at night and i set an alarm for that, etc so i dont have to intrinsically remember to do all the things myself
