last night amy played gbvfr and found out that her character (anila) sucks ass apparently but also that she's pretty fun even if you can't do much more than 2U > 214L and 2L > f.L > 214L

@coriander @wallhackio specifically it's gbfvr-flavoured notation

that game has L, M, H, and U for Light, Medium, Heavy and Unique. numbers are "a direction that you can hold the stick in", there's 9 possible angles (including neutral) that are numbered like so:

789
456
123

it's called "numpad notation" for reasons that will become clear if you look at your numpad

">" just means "proceed to the next move" as opposed to meaning specifically "link" or "cancel", i guess when it's intuitive. and f. as a prefix means "the far version of this move as opposed to the close one"

so "2L > f.L > 214L" means "crouching light, standing far light, quarter circle backward light"

@amy @aescling @monorail @coriander anime is good as long as its not full of that specific type of anime fanservice that I dislike

@wallhackio @aescling @monorail @coriander To be clear I don't mean anime as an art style (though it is), I mean it as a subgenre of fighting games

@aescling @amy @monorail @coriander im sorry cat, but with all due respect-- in all fairness, that is to say-- in an effort of candidness, so to speak-- with all attempt at courtesy, it could be said--
