I once had a roommate that broadly hated all internet cat memes because
1) He was a cat lover
2) In his experience, all cats had impeccable spelling and grammar
3) He was convinced that the pervasive infantilization of cats on the internet was the result of an unforgivably ignorant smear campaign, for reasons unknown
This is the kind of thing that sticks with you.
@wallhackio @K4_713 i don’t know about *all* cats but my childhood cat definitely spoke with the cat equivalent of the queens english
my parents current cat does not strike me as quite so well educated tho he does have a great deal of social intelligence
@wallhackio You know, I tried to find that out for myself, but I didn't get very far because it was clearly a sensitive topic.
He did ask me, with narrowing eyes, if I thought his cat was an idiot.
I hastily gave a glowing opinion of Quentin's intelligence, and retreated to safer conversational waters.
