what has surpurrised me about the changing overall totk discourse is the way that my biggest purroblem with the totk story (a sequel to a game where zelda’s impurrosonment and eventual freedom make fur a morality tale about how freedom is good and zelda deserves it, followed up by a sequel in which zelda gets sorta-fridged AGAIN and in even more dramatic fashion), which i fully believe not to be a very hot take or very deep analysis at all, simply does not get said?

like i think there was a VERY basic reason the story was a non-statter but people will literally go on fur hours cinema sins nitpicking details

idk if this is a hot take or not but the skitty bitty totk video is Bad

i agree with a nontrivial amount of it but the critical lens is poor, which is not good when you are making a three hour video Oh My God

(the image of a skitty plush wearing an “i love women” t-shirt is very good though. thank you fur that)

@aescling a video that reminded me of the skitty video was a two-hour critique of avenger's endgame. it had very similar energy

@aescling it's on a channel called something like "the endgame video and nothing else", and it literally only has the endgame video, so it should be easy to search for

@wallhackio i remember watching that video and quitting it after like, ten minutes

Follow

@aescling i sat through the whole thing because i was playing a videogame and i was deeply unimpressed
