@aescling that did seem like the most likely meaning of “eggcest”. kinda disappointed it wasn’t any of the increasingly weird other interpretations i came up with. although admittedly the oviposition one did not really have any chance of happening in a sonic movie.
@alyssa dr. robotnik is pretty blatantly shipped with his grandfather. like i really cannot understate how on the nose it is. they have a bonding session with The Beach Boys’s Wouldn’t It Be Nice as the background music
