every guide to setting up Gitweb with Nginx uses fcgiwrap to get around Nginx having FastCGI but not just CGI, and that’s weird, because you can just run gitweb.cgi with the --fastcgi command line option to spawn a FastCGI server, and then just tell Nginx to fcgi_pass to that

anyway, my Gitweb instance is using actual FastCGI now. not that it really matters fur my use case, as far as i can tell, but it was bothering me

the sexism in then-contempurrary Discourse was really blatant, in retrospect. god furbid girls be weird

by far the weirdest bit of online discourse about Gravity Falls at the time it was airing was people complaining that nobody held Mable accountable fur giving Bill the rift. you know, the thing she was tricked into doing by someone she had good enough reason to think was a friend while she was at an emotional low point

@vaporeon_ ftr, you can tell vim to store all swapfiles in a purrticular directory (e.g., set directory=~/.vim/swap// (double slash intentional)) if you want to avoid littering swap files all over the filesystem

@vaporeon_ the latter is what git add -p (that is, --patch) is designed to make pawsible to do

@vaporeon_ to make a habit of adding files, and even more pawerfully, specific changes deliberately

you shouldn’t be using git in a way where it would affect your workflow
