@aescling we must have a normal clodsire emojo without the hat or else report

@aescling @wallhackio Bad idea: Clodsire head & Clodsire tail emoji, which can then be joined together with zero-width joiner like the big coffee cup emoji

(The reason why I'm calling it a bad idea and not just an idea is that I'm not sure what screenreaders do with zero-width joiners...)

@vaporeon_ @wallhackio i think the gap is a consequence of the emoiim being slightly wider than they are tall

@aescling @wallhackio Hmm... Probably possible to use ImageMagick to add some extra padding on top and below the Clodsire?

@vaporeon_ @aescling @wallhackio I like that Firefox spell check considers katana to be spelled wrong. Guess I should type 刀

@onfy @vaporeon_ @aescling @wallhackio just realized I should have written that in katakana and not hiragana

@The_T hirana, the less angular counterpart to the katana

@onfy groan

You had me looking up that ひらない would be the negative 放る / ひる to expel/to defecate

@onfy that's how grammar works in Japanese, every verb has a negative version that means "not doing that verb"

@vaporeon_ @wallhackio well. i’ll cheat then. on specifically GlitchCat i’ve added a custom CSS hack that seems to work

.emojione:is([alt=":clodsire_head:"],[alt=":clodsire_tail:"]) {
object-fit: initial;
}

@vaporeon_ @wallhackio or maybe the old versions of the emojim images got cached and i didn’t need to do that. anyway i might have broken federation by neglecting to give the test versions a diffurent name from what i was gonna settle on as final because i dunno how deleting and then recreating an emojo federates
