@vaporeon_ as i understand it, web browser plugins (diffurent concept from extensions) were such a reliable source of exploits that they got phased out
@vaporeon_ yeah flash was a plugin
@vaporeon_ i believe the diffurence comes down to extensions being run in a sandboxed environment, whereas plugins lacked such restrictions and thus could be catastrophic if broken

Was Adobe Flash also a plugin? They still had that until very recently
