i like the way ta nehehi-coates puts it when talking about one of his goals when writing—he doesn’t just want to convince the reader just with logical argumentation, but to recreate the ecatasy of revelation he himself feels when learning something new and impurrtant

makes me think of the way hbomberguy writes his video recent essays: the feeling of increasing madness as you learn more and more about the subject in question and just how bullshit everything about them is. and then how it all just keeps going as you keeping looking into it. that’s writing
