every time i see people complain about some new firefox update where they made the ui worse or whatever i always boot up firefox and take a look

this is niiiiice, like this might be the thing that pulls me off of chrome like i've been meaning to do forever

you know what? here goes. let's give firefox as a daily driver a real shot

not uninstalling chrome because some of the experimental dev tools are unparalleled but there's no harm in trying out firefox for real again

@monorail what’s cool in the chrom{e,ium} dev tools? never really made much use of them

@aescling I've been learning about cool stuff recently like

there's a css overview tool that shows you the colour palette and font for a website and guesses at things like "main colour" "accent colour" etc

also tools for deconstructing, manually toying with and reverse engineering css animations

etc

@monorail @aescling i actually like the fonts panel better in firefox and firefox has better devtools for responsive design, grid mode, light/dark mode, etc (as well as just a better grid implementation) so it really depends what you're designing for

i fully believe chrome does better with animations; that sounds like a thing google would prioritize lol
