@geraineon @villainousfriend Evil!Lan Xichen rescues Good!Meng Yao to keep for himself, Good!Lan Xichen is left with Evil!Meng Yao, but their relationship never quite finds its groove. They both never quite find the spark in the other that was there before the split, but neither is capable of giving up on the relationship.

@geraineon @villainousfriend @Betty yeah the other half of the pairing is significantly more likely to experience proper canon divergence rather than a heightening of existing dynamics but i’m still try trying to figure out what evil!LXC would do once he’s secured good!MY (attic wife him a la his father????)

@geraineon @villainousfriend @Satsuma I've been defining it "their worst self/impulses" vs "their best self/impulses" not out of a strong adherence to that method, but just because, you know. What *is* evil, right?
Because re: ST: TOS: The Enemy Within, I don't particularly like a version of "good" that's just sort of gormless, I do think Kirk's "good" qualities are not, like, "passivity."
