They both never quite find the spark in the other that was there before the split, but neither is capable of giving up on the relationship.

@geraineon @villainousfriend @Satsuma I've been defining it "their worst self/impulses" vs "their best self/impulses" not out of a strong adherence to that method, but just because, you know. What *is* evil, right?
Because re: ST: TOS: The Enemy Within, I don't particularly like a version of "good" that's just sort of gormless, I do think Kirk's "good" qualities are not, like, "passivity."
