has good music finally released in 2026?? or will these two albums by artists i reliably love both disappoint me???
every year i make a playlist of music that released that year that i loved and this year that playlist has. one song. it is October send help (good music)
@Lady Hm, no love for the new Emancipator or various CHVRCHES singles? (I also liked Spunkshine's _Siege Engines, probably_ ("Its Function Remains Assumed Rather Than Confirmed" is maybe the highlight for me?), but it's probably not your kind of thing.)
There's not really a lot this year that has broken through for me either, I guess (even the new Boards of Canada, somehow). Looks like I missed a new Hermanos Gutiérrez album, will have to try that.
@Lady That's fair, mostly you get a couple covers (I did enjoy their "Such Great Heights" cover though) or a single from the album due in January, but that'll obviously be too late for 2026.
