@aescling “reality isn’t real, embrace the cult of meme” is a line which has been pushed by a lot of millennial grifters and white supremacists over the past decades and it has unfortunately large purchase among younger demographics in my anecdotal experience
setting them up for everything from NFT scams to viral internet conspiracy theories
it’s a real failing of my generation that we still don’t have a response to it and that these people still manage to find their way onto notable platforms
@Lady really can’t say for myself how common that is in the new generation
that would be frustrating to me if that’s a common sentiment; i like the idea as something to pose as a question to investigate and develop upon
