re: food
@wallhackio I guess I should probably try doing that whole thing in oil, but I never remember to have any around
re: food
@wallhackio oh, also, another reason I hate it: I haven't mastered the order to cook these things in.
The pierogies are from frozen.
I put them in a large frying pan.
What order would you put frozen pierogies, kielbasa, bell peppers, and mushrooms, so that they cook kinda evenly.
re: food
@wallhackio @The_T bell peppers then mushrooms then kielbasa and pierogis probably roughly simultaneously when the peppers are almost cooked (or i would fry the pierogi in a separate pan so they get crispy, but it would still be almost at the end)
i would also, personally, put onions in with the peppers
re: food
@Satsuma @wallhackio I feel like if I did this the pierogis wouldn't warm up in time? they are frozen.
re: food
@Satsuma @wallhackio also yes I think onions was one of the other ones, and not mushrooms; but also I should add mushrooms
re: food
@The_T @wallhackio idk what frozen pierogis you are using or what size they are but mine take 7 minutes to cook which is substantially less than bell peppers take
re: food
@wallhackio Holly/Amy has a thing her dad made that I tried making my own version of, that was, pierogies, sausage, bell peppers, and... I forget if there was another vegetable (maybe mushrooms? I put mushrooms in everything). But yeah, the bell peppers were always my least favorite part of it, they were so bland.
I could try salt, but the thing is due to my health I avoid sodium as much as possible; since all restaurant food is gonna have it in abundance, I avoid it in my own cooking.
