I am somewhat annoyed at the lack of hash maps in C right now

@vaporeon_ python dictionaries and javascript objects have ruined every other popular programming language for me

@wallhackio @vaporeon_ clojure goes a little further this direction than most with map destructuring in argument vectors being idiomatic and common. very nice stuff imo

@wallhackio What do Python dictionaries have that Perl hashmaps don't? Sincere question, as I only know Python very superficially

@aescling @wallhackio Can't, have to use references instead. But can you in Python?

@alas @vaporeon_ @wallhackio *noticing your display name* *in a bougie British voice* i’m very sorry to hear about the mathematics. barbaric stuff, those mathematics…

@vaporeon_ @wallhackio er, more purrecisely, can you create a nested hashmap literal in Perl?

@vaporeon_ hm, I don't know enough about perl to answer this question
