i made homemade alfredo pasta (actually very simple) and while it was very good there's a reason the recipe said it was 2 servings

@vaporeon_ its a creamy italian noodle thingy. the "true" recipe for half a box of noodles is

  • butter (4 tbsp wtf)
  • 56g parmesan (like, 1/3 of a block)
  • salt

Cook some noodles and reserve pasta water. Heat the butter. Once its bubbly add some pasta water. Once foamy add your noodles. Then add cheese and toss until combined. Eat immediately, consider adding salt and black pepper. Top with parmesan if you are consumed with greed

@wallhackio @vaporeon_ twin is not used yet to the purroportions of butter called fur in a lot of cooking

@vaporeon_ the "fake" version of the recipe makes the sauce with heavy cream. one my siblings made it once with garlic and pan-seared chicken and it was so gooood ugghghghghghghghh

@wallhackio alfredo is tasty but i always have trouble getting the cheese melted through? either that or i'm just impatient heh

@holly if you're a cool guy you add the cheese in small handfuls at a time with bits of pasta water, toss until combined, and repeat ad nauseum until you've exhausted your cheese

took me like 5 - 7 small handfuls to get through my cheese
