one of the most bummer things about ffxiv is seeing the last expac’s city and endgame hub become a permanent ghost town when the new expac comes out

maybe that’s why they made solution 9 for the erpers

then again, the strip club didn’t keep anyone at eulmore

@wallhackio there is quite literally a strip club in one location and you have to get up on the stage and pole dance for a quest

@wallhackio to be fair the whole point of this city is that it’s like a disgusting display of wealth and hedonism in the face of a doomed world so like, the strip club is extremely on brand for them

@The_T @wallhackio no they’re basically indentured servants there’s a slum on the outskirts of the city completely unprotected from the biblical horrors that plague the land and there are these freak jester women from the city that come to the slum to 1) hand out gruel to the masses and 2) hire a poor person whenever there’s some job that needs doing

they literally call them free citizens vs bonded citizens

@The_T @wallhackio it turns out that the gruel was made of mind control juice and also everyone was stupid and didn’t realize that their monarch was one of the biblical horrors in disguise (literally) and they became normal after that and got a mayor and I guess the rich gave up their assets idk I forget how that part got resolved

@wallhackio @The_T we killed the monarch though. he is literally the ugliest man you could ever imagine. unfortunately he’s also fat which is not super great but like I guess it kinda makes sense considering he just sits on his ass and eats human flesh or whatever
