its so funny that andor is great given that it is a prequel that nobody asked for to a movie that was, itself, a prequel that nobody asked for
@coriander i actually had no idea it was a rogue one prequel when i went in and luckily you lose nothing from the experience by not knowing that
@coriander i barely remember any of the characters from rogue one, i literally forgot the latino man was even there lmao
@wallhackio as far as the disney star wars movies no one asked for go rogue one is probably the best of the bunch
@Satsuma i remember it being dreadfully boring until suddenly it wasn't, i came out of the theatre with extremely mixed feelings
@wallhackio i have not seen it in years so i will not comment on its pacing issues or lack thereof but i do remember that it like, engaged meaningfully with the political forces of both facism and anti-fascism
@Satsuma i was not exactly progressive at the time it released so if there were Interesting Themes in that sphere i would not have been good at noticing them
@wallhackio hm maybe you should rewatch and report back
@Satsuma aight 🫡
@wallhackio I think that's genuinely WHY it's so good
Nobody asked for it, so nobody cared, so Tony Gilroy just got to do whatever the fuck he wanted
