You know, when the Enhanced Editions of the first two Baldur's Gate games came out, people got pupset because there's a trans character who just happily provides that information to the player unprompted because that's how cRPGs were written back then and Beamdog wanted to try and mirror that while also updating the games and adding some representation
The claim was that nobody acts that way, it's weird for this random merchant to tell you her whole life story and how she's trans
Anyway now people are mad at how the BG3 companions are written because they DON'T just reveal their entire life story the first time you click "Tell me about yourself"

@coriander you can get away with anything if you just have the trans character start out by saying “You pitiful fool. You sad excuse of a human being. You will never reach my level.” game studios are just afraid to employ this trick for some reason
