Grading exams isn't very fun for me, either (and neither is taking them, as a student), but it is important that they're looked over by someone with common sense and understanding of the topic instead of by the lying machine

We do automate the first pass of the multiple-choice-quiz grading, apparently the computer is pretty good at recognizing whether a box is ticked or not that that's acceptable (and if it gets it wrong, the student can appeal)

That seems a lot less odious and evil to me than the text extruders
