one time i asked my brazilian labmate from grad school if it's common to see capybaras in brazil or if they're kind of elusive and she was like "oh they're everywhere like deer"

Follow

@cam yeah ill walk out the plane, see one, take a picture, and then fly home

@wallhackio @cam Might be easier & cheaper to go to a zoo that has capybara...

@wallhackio @cam no you also need to eat the pão de queijo. Then leave

@wallhackio @cam mastodon road trip to Brazil. Do any of us speak Brazilian Portuguese?

@cam @wallhackio I took (LatAm) Spanish and I get the impression I would have better luck conversing with someone who knows Italian

Okay! Mastodon Brazilian Portuguese study group THEN road trip

@cam @wallhackio I imagine it's like feeding a duck. They can eat bread but it's like a junk food

@lapis @cam I did a very brief google search and because we live in a post SEO optimization hellscape I couldn't find much conclusive information in a couple minutes and got bored

But my current opinion is "you probably shouldn't but its unlikely to be catastrophic if you did, but you still probably shouldn't"

@wallhackio @cam just feed them un poquito y no más (pretend I said that in Brazillian Portuguese)
