@vaporeon_ consider matrices that I call "checkerboard matrices". That is, if an element is in the rth row, cth column, and r + c is an even number, then the element is zero
The nonzero elements can be any number you want
Here are two examples:
@vaporeon_ if you take the determinant of a checkerboard matrix, where the matrix is n x n and n is an odd number, the determinant is always zero!
