I remembered the reason i have the perception that twilight princess wasnt well liked by a lot of people when it came out is because it was the most recent zelda game for a time and that's just kinda how a lot of zelda fans always talk about whatever the most recent zelda game is. Like it's flawed but also zelda fans are always a little sour on games til there's a new one, then the previous one they were dogging on before immediately becomes an all-time classic retroactively

@Lucy From what I recall the reception to the game has been cyclical. It was initially very well received and then heavily critiqued, and from what I can gather in the past five-ish years its getting a more appreciation again

I know for sure I am correct about this because I remember GameSpot's 8.8/10 for the game being a genuine controversy amongst certain gamer types lmfao

@wallhackio true, i think that's the case for a lot of 3D zelda games, if not all of them. People still flip flop on botw, and there's undeniable fondness a lot of people have for skyward sword despite that game being pretty universally panned when it came out if i recall correctly

@Lucy I played TP quite a while after it released and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it given the criticism it was receiving at the time

@wallhackio i really love that game, i think discussing Zelda games the way a lot of capital "G" Gamers do is silly lol
