It's a space western, which is gonna have vaguely-Southern aesthetics, and it follows failed revolutionaries

Therefore this show about freedom and personal responsibility is actually about the Confederacy I guess?? Mal and Zoe are definitely the type of people who would think slavery was good. Definitely. That's not contrary to the themes of the entire narrative. 🙄
You don't have to like Firefly or be excited about this potential new show but please at least just be honest and say "I don't like it" instead of cooking up some hot bull shit
@coriander a lot of media discourse would become much more reasonable if we focused less on moralizing our enjoyment of things and more on whether or not we simply liked it
