gecko feet feel really interesting in a way that’s hard to describe
they feel as if they should leave a sticky residue, the sticky feeling isn’t like the feeling of a suction cup or something. and they’re very soft. their whole bodies are very soft and their skin feels delicate
I would get a gecko but the one I petsat basically hid all the time. and I’m not that knowledgeable about their care aside from the basics
I would get a ball python but their hunger strikes freak me out and also them striking at frozen prey that I’m holding freaks me out. and I don’t think I could do a live feeding (I know you’re not supposed to live feed snakes except as an absolute last resort)
I did like the snake I took care of though and sometimes I’d wear her as a necklace while I cleaned her cage. she didn’t try to strangle me while I was doing this
she was on a hunger strike and I think she only ever ate once when I was feeding her
@wallhackio they can go months to upwards of a year without eating, ig if they’re unhappy about something or just don’t feel like eating (typical feeding schedule is like once every 2 weeks)
