@onfy huh, what's the connection? Apparently it came out in 2002, 2 years after the PS2 was out, so the Dreamcast by dead by that point...
@onfy I was curious about the timeline of this game's release, and yeah, the Dreamcast was discontinued in March 2001, at the same time they released the last Dreamcast game, Segagaga. So they could have been developing that PS1 game around the same time, or shortly after it. Even thought he PS2 had been out.
@The_T the ps1 got a bunch of anime games quite a bit into the ps2's life... i guess either from lower development costs or thinking kids might not have a ps2. there were doremi games on ps1 as well
@onfy that makes sense. The Master System was like that, for the Genesis. And the entire purpose of the 32X was to expand the Genesis for those that couldn't afford the Saturn.
And consoles having backwards compatibility, was also an attempt for new consoles not to kneecap 3rd party devs working on games for the old consoles.
@The_T i'm think there was at least one ps1 game that has issues on ps2 released after the ps2...? funky
i'm not sure anyone outside brazil cared about the master system
@wallhackio @onfy oh! you saying "movie adaption" reminded me I had Hook. (also: I didn't even finish reading your toot before I started writing mine.)
@wallhackio @onfy Sonic 2, Sonic Chaos, Triple Trouble. Shaq Fu. Deep Duck Trouble Starring Donald Duck. Jurassic Park. Definitely some others but I can't remember. I wanna go through the Game Gear library some time and see what memories it uncovers.
