I will write Thomas Laserdisc an essay about anime and the difference between it and (Western) cartoons and I will also mention other places' animation even though I can't speak remotely authoritatively about them

(I am not doing this too much work)

my dad has started watching anime of his own volition on the streaming services he has access to and he will tell me about series1 he's watching and he will never tell me the title so if I was interested 2 I wouldn't know what to look for. Like he's basically telling me to go on idk the tv equivalent of libby and say "The cover was blue idk the author or title"

1: I'm usually NOT interested because lately he's watching a lot of generic isekai, not that I have anything against the concept itself it's just the ones he's watching don't sound interesting.
2: "And he was killed by a truck and sent to a fantasy world!" yeah I'll get right on that dad. Very helpful thanks (I love my dad he just has a very unhelpful way of relaying information, but I've been told that in unscripted conversations I do too so it probably runs in the family or I learnt it from him or something)

also it's been a decade plus but I'm still mad at him for watching 99% of Gurren Lagann but turning it off before he got to the final scene.

I'm not asking you to sit through a 3 hour movie just turn the DVD back on!

@wallhackio at me being mad at him or my dad for his OUTRAGEOUS BEHAVIOR
