So Luigi's Mansion there are two games, for GameCube and for the 3DS...

If I wanted to play Luigi's Mansion at some point, do you think, should I play the GameCube version or the 3DS version?

@wallhackio Yes, unfortunately I don't own any real Nintendo hardware, they're expensive even when you buy them used...

@vaporeon_ ive used dolphin quite a bit and its been very good for me

@vaporeon_ @wallhackio basically, the Wii and Gamecube architecture are similar enough that it makes sense for one emulator to target both. The Wii is basically a marginally souped up Gamecube.

@The_T @wallhackio So GameCube and Wii are closer architecturally than Wii and Wii U? The naming really is confusing...

@vaporeon_ @wallhackio A similar thing happens with the Sega Mega Drive (Genesis), Game Gear, and Master System. The Game Gear is literally just a portable Master System with a smaller screen resolution, but identical hardware (many games were directly ported from Master System to Game Gear). While the Genesis contains all the hardware for the Master System and then some; so with a special adapter, the Genesis can play Master System games.
