Here is my opinion:

It is very strange that people think I have a warped perspective of my own skill in, for Example, Melee, because I insist I'm not good at them, considering how I consistently lose to Silver players. I feel like "Good players don't regularly drop sets to people in Silver" isn't controversial?

@amy I think the best way to understand this is that even if you are not in the top 50% percentile of people who play smash competitively, you are almost certainly better than 99% of humans on this earth

@wallhackio @amy I feel like this isn't a good comparison, because I am better than 99% of humans on Earth at [video game I've never played]

@The_T @amy I'm not sure you can meaningfully determine one's skill at something they've never tried

@wallhackio Right but I don't think it's good to set a precedent of "Anyone who's ever spent three minutes trying to learn a combo is good at the video game"

I don't care about my skill compared to people who don't pursue a game competitively, that's not relevant to me

@amy @wallhackio hm, so to limit it to just the competitive people, numerically where are you?

Like, how much of the group does being your current rank put you above?

@IntrepidVector @wallhackio Do you understand why I'm hesitant to do this on my post about how it annoys me when people question my perspective about my own skill level
