thinking about the English teacher I had in high school who named both his kids after to kill a mockingbird characters and once told us some bizarre theory about how he thinks that men do everything in life to impress their first girlfriend. he started explaining this theory with the phrase “forget about gay people for a minute”

I remember sitting there being like “wtf?” internally while other people in the class nodded sagely. then I realized “oh this is the kind of guy who desperately wants high schoolers to think he’s king shit because he wasn’t liked in high school. and he doesn’t like me because I treat him normally and am therefore a threat to his ego”

idk I think he’s one of those people who gets threatened by autistic people because they don’t fawn over him and his gigantic brain or something

@cam reminds me of the history teacher i had in high school who once went a rant in one of my classes where he argued that women joining the work force ruined the economy
