I genuinely don't think we needed video game graphics to keep advancing after about 2018 or so and I could be convinced to move that date back earlier

Alien Isolation came out in 2014 and it's still a fucking gorgeous game to look at, there's not even that much noticable difference between it and how current games look other than the poor optimization requiring you to turn on frame generation and TAA so now your game runs AND looks like shit
