@wallhackio so I think my drain snake was just not long enough but I poured a bunch of drano max strength gel down the drain (ik it’s probably not ideal for pipes but whatever) and then let it sit for several hours, I think it took care of itself at that point but I flushed it thoroughly with hot water from a kettle and then hot water from the tub faucet

worked on both the tub and the sink (which was draining a little slowly but wasn’t fully clogged, and a drain snake also wasn’t fixing it)
