I always want to pronounce await in code like A-wait to go with A-sync

@cam Are you saying that the "a" in "await" and "async" are not pronounced the same? I pronounce them the same...

i say Async and a​WAIT

@monorail @vaporeon_ yeah like for await in normal English the stress is on wait, but in asynchronous the normal stress is on the A

I still pronounce sudo as soo dough and regex as rejex despite knowing that those don’t match the pronunciation of the unabbreviated versions though
