So I just spent 40 minutes trying to install scanner drivers on Windows 2000 and they don't even work...
And looking up the error message gives no results
The manual actually says to use an install CD, but if it ever existed, then it's not online, and the manufacturer's website only gives me the ZIP archive with the drivers that don't work

@vaporeon_ in my experience Windows is mostly user-friendly, but when things go wrong they are catastrophic and miserable to debug/solve
