Anyway Mobian is a contentious term because it originates in the Archie comics, which were always their own separate universe from the games and very much now "non-canon" in every sense as they were cancelled years ago. It comes from the fact Sonic's planet used to be called "Mobius" (in both the comics and the English manuals for the video games) but now Mobius is no longer the canon name. (The canon name, I shit you not, is either "Earth" or "Sonic's world". Dr. Eggman has once referred to the planet he is from as "Sonic's world".)
@The_T @vaporeon_ I had some VHS tapes of "The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog" TV show from the 90s that I watched a lot as a kid and they used the term "Mobius" in that too, if I'm not mistaken
