As I was going to St Ives, I met a man with seven wives. And the wives had ten horns and upon their horns were ten crowns and upon their heads the names of blasphemy. And the wives which I saw were like unto a leopard, and their feet were the feet of a bear, and their mouths as the mouths of a lion: and the dragon gave them his power, and his seat, and his authority. And I saw one of the wives as she was wounded to death; and her deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the wife. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the wives: and they worshipped the wives saying, Who is like unto the wives? Who is able to make war with them?
