LMAO there's a glitch in Runescape Classic (not OSRS, the even older one) where if you logged out while opening a crystal chest, it stayed open. Like, it stayed open. Forever. The glitch was discovered after Runescape Classic stopped getting updates, so if you log on right now, you can't use any crystal chests because they're all open
It would be two lines of code to fix it, the fix is listed on the wiki, but a Jagex developer would have to do it on their own time because they just don't really have reason to support Classic anymore
In 2018 the servers were restarted for every version so the crystal chests were briefly closed again, so you could actually spend your crystal keys, but before long all the chests were stuck open once more. Any items exclusive to the crystal chests are just unobtainable
