I'm pleased to report that, no, there's nothing more to the gimmick, he just uses kites
@coriander the mr freeze episode of btas was peak television for me when i was a kid
@wallhackio BTAS is still largely considered some of the best Batman you can get
Did you know Mr Freeze was kind of a nothing villain before that episode? The backstory with his wife and everything came from BTAS and it was so good it made it into the overall canon
