@coriander i was so angry after going to r/country and seeing a discussion with people saying that Beyonce's foray into country felt inauthentic but Post Malone's felt authentic that I listened to her country album out of spite and it was very good. Unfortunately Post Malone is on one of the songs which is probably my main criticism
@wallhackio Beyonce is out there doing genuine artistic experimentation and branching out while Posty is just riding a trend and turning his back on the scene he gained popularity in in the first place, they are not the same
@coriander it is somewhat kinda valid to say that what Beyonce did is not "country" because like... i don't think it was a country album lmao (it did have some country songs though).
But if country music with trap beats can get nominations and country music radio play then so should Bey's
