possibly at some point i should figure out a way to make it actually apparent to the players that ~⅓ of all NPCs in the games i run are trans

it is both inconvenient and convenient as a person learning another language.

inconvenient in that it makes it sometimes more difficult to make some distinctions between spanish sounds not in english (or to not distinguish sounds distinguished in english but not in spanish)

but also convenient that probably nobody's even gonna notice how I pronounce b/v or s/z (even Sofi with zir native-level English fluency has difficulty distinguishing them when specifically listening for it)

the impact of people's (many people's, anyway) native languages on their perception of speech sounds is Neat

currently researching english country house for the secret lair of an evil undead aristocrat

(so sofi's family knows what i like and dislike)

today i made a list of my opinion on every vegetable and fruit (that i have an opinion on)

i hope this published campaign i'm running includes a good explanation for how putting the family cemetery in a swamp is not a bad idea so i don't have to figure it out myself.

does there exist a way to make gui applications that isn't extremely annoying to either user (electron/etc.) or developer (everything else?)

highlights from today's session:

• Saul (court wizard PC) fails so badly to capture Cador (ratkin PC) that he ends up with the maximum possible level of harm (to be fair he was already hurt from previous conflicts) and is spending all his time brooding in his tower about the insult to his pride
• Sidonie (trade envoy PC) convinces Cador not to kill her rival for possibly months until she gets her final payment for intentionally losing the competition to make a deal with the lord they're here to trade with, so he is instead angrily assassinating the rival's secretary
