really liked this movie. not quite my favorite of del Toro's movies that I have seen, but I think maybe the best-done of them.
they're not even fortunes! the first time there were ads in the fortune cookies it was something else and like, they were still fortunes iirc... possibly themed fortunes, but... not just, jokes or calls to action.

re: writing about sex
i mean, i'm definitely squeamish about writing sex, but it may also be appropriate to be discreet about this particular instance. also i need to get over the squeamishness. there's like, at least 3 or 4 sex scenes that are going to have to happen on-page, purely in terms of what's essential to the narrative arc
