@aescling tbh we would do this if it wasn't such a pain to insert superscript into text fields on our phone
@tempest i just use backslash escaped asterisks, or maybe a symbol like † if i’m actually using multiple footnotes in a single toot
(i do think something about it can be quite funny though)
